So, this pot simply does not make the coffee hot enough. I am not sure if it was always this way, but nowadays when I pour a cup of coffee it is cool in 5 minutes and I need more. I just put the cup I got in the microwave so it will stay warm a bit longer. Coffeepot, I love you, but I think you may be past your prime...kinda like the owner I guess!

@Shivram59 Not right now. Not while this is still producing coffee.

Maybe, I will look into it I could also pour into a thermos and use that. I do have some insulated mugs, but they are more for keeping things cold

@snowy22315 - I remember that my niece used an insulated mug to keep her coffee warm, because she was a very slow drinker.

I have a nice electric mug warmer that keeps my coffee nice and warm. It's right next to my recliner so I can relax and enjoy hot coffee while I relax and ease into the day.
Your pot probably has seen better days and you probably do need a new one.

lol I don't drink coffee, but my mother does. She found a Keurig sitting outside an apartment. She brought it home and fixed it. It worked for a long time until last year and she bought a new one. This one is smaller in size.

I think you can consider buying an insulated water bottle to keep coffee warm longer. Hehe

I am not sure if we can blame the coffee pot entirely. Especially at this time fo the year. Perhaps , weather and the environment could be the reason. Perhaps it is cold within the area and that would answer why it gets cold within 5 minutes. I have noticed when we used to be living around 10C , the coffee pot used to be cool in and around 5 minutes. There was snow as well. It is also possible that pot has been long used and has lot its ability to keep things warm , if it had been used for over a decade plus. However, you can keep a watch for new pots . Not sure if there are ones which could hold hot coffee little longer even under cold conditions. Enjoy the time!
