Yet another school shooting. But hey at least we have the 2A right?

This is insane. This is sick. This is horrific. And this is normal in America because this country has a disgusting fetish with guns. The 2nd Amendment was written over 200 years ago when there were no such things as semi-automatic firearms. There weren't local law enforcement agencies to respond to threats within seconds or minutes. But a large chunk of Americans cling to the idea that it is their Constitutional right to have whatever guns they want. There are a couple of unusual things about this shooting that we know about so far--the shooter was a 17 year old FEMALE and she used a HANDGUN rather than an AR-15. She was a student at the Christian school. . . so like did not the teachings of Jesus, the presence of Bibles in classrooms, and the Ten Commandments being displayed there didn't have an impact? SHOCKER! The gun nuts in this country are fine with students, teachers, church goers, movie viewers, grocery store patrons, etc. being slaughtered as long as they can have their guns. It is disgusting. I don't want to hear that this is all about mental illness. The shooter couldn't have shot anyone if she didn't have access to a gun. Yes I take this personally. I am a teacher and work in a high school. My classroom has 2 doors and is pretty much as central as you can get in the building. Current guidelines are for staff/students who can run out of the building should do so but my classroom is not a candidate for that. I literally have to check the back door each morning on my way in to make sure that it is locked and then I unlock the front door to let myself in and then lock it (using a door block) so if there is a lockdown I just have to move the block and shut the door. Why do I even have to think about that stuff? It is insane. One more school shooting and life will go on tomorrow as if everything is fine as usual. Disgusting. Watch this video.
