What is really real?

Does the bigger picture view make things under the microscope more real or not

I recently came across a spiritual guru, who made this all-encompassing statement. "Nothing inside the mind is real." And then, he defined the "real" by saying that the real is that that never changes. On his terms then, only God is real, because most religions claim that God is always the same, and never changes, but everything else does change. Even if he was right though, what is the point of his pointing this out? We are all real to ourselves, and our life would be pointless without some personal real point in it for ourselves, like a purpose, or a reason, for our being alive. The realness of our being here, and fulfilling God's purpose for our own life, is what is real in our lives. We can change, and God expects us to change, and so the real can change, and God created it to change, and to grow into perfection, as it does so too. As creation grows, the creator grows with it, and so in this sense, God changes too, by his creation changing within him, and all that he is, or encompasses. This guru called God, "pure consciousness", which he claimed never changed, either. All change is illusory, he then went on to claim. Now, consciousness changes, and is changing all of the time. We can increase our own level of consciousness, and as we do so, the overall pool of consciousness then expands too, and so he was wrong about this too; consciousness, is always increasing, and will always do so. On the other hand, though, God has always existed, and if he could change, it would mean that that part of him never existed before, and that he has changed into it now, only encompassing it now. God would be a will-of-the wisp then, if he was changing, like a chameleon, constantly. And so, God essentially remains God, but he does change his clothing to match his world from time to time, as we all do, but essentially our essence remains unchanging, as it was perfectly created from God's perfect essence too. Our inner seed retains its original self, even when it grows into a plant, tree, or shrub, or person then. Everything changes around it, but its very essence remains as it was, a seed in God himself. Everything around us is real to us.

It also depends on our knowledge, and interpretation, of things too, I think, as, hundreds of years ago, the real earth was believed to be flat, but they were wrong there. To many people, UFO's are real enough, but who knows what they really are too??

If it is in front of me it is real, one time I did drink to much, seemed real but think I was hallucinating. That's when I drew a line. No more fun like that, this real, that is not.

We are human and we have strengths that remain untapped. We cannot overlook the realness of our human perception. Whatever we achieve should enrich the soul within each of us., but we lose our way. Change is the only constant, and we are kept alive by it. Uncertainty keeps us on the edge, too. We are pure consciousness, which should drive us to step up rather than get bogged down with daily chores that tend to overwhelm us. We need to be aware of physical reality as well as listen to the inner prompt

Yes, we should not abandon one camp to live in the other, as reality has degrees of reality to it, which are only lived really, through that particular aspect of reality. The soul knows nothing of physical reality until it takes on a body, and learns about it that way. We need actual experiences, not ones in a twilight zone of virtual reality only. We need to cement our changes down with real bolts, not fantasy ones. We need a foot in both camps, our camp here, and God's camp, elsewhere. Some think that our soul knows it all already, and is guiding us through inner prompts, but it seems like even the soul is enriched into greater growth, through its experiences in different guises/roles too.

@Shiva49 Yes, our soul can connect us to something greater than just ourselves, and give us a bigger picture view of what is.

@innertalks I think it is more like the soul reminding us that life here is temporary and our physical body has its limits. I live doing justice after my birth here, while the inner prompt indicates the journey continues. The perceived setbacks are temporary too and are there to enrich our overall experiences. We will also get a feel of the steering wheel of creation for real later rather than being the pawns here. From laborers to managers! We leave being the pawns/laborers getting kicked around and do the kicking instead! That is a promotion but carries with it responsibilities too!
