Christmas caroling

While I was working earlier, I heard a group playing Christmas songs with their instruments. They were really talented and performed in front of a large house nearby. Maybe they were hoping for donations for their performance, and I truly hope they were rewarded for their efforts. They didn’t stop by our place, and I’m not sure why; maybe they prefer big houses, thinking they will receive a more generous contribution. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone does the same when I get home. Some residents in our subdivision go Christmas caroling every year and never miss the opportunity. Haha.

I think its a trend now in the Philippines, they are giving their all in the caroling as if they are in the contest,

Yes, that is correct. They approach it as a contest, so they give their best when caroling. Haha

Most of the carolers do some sort of a solicitation. Like they give envelops in advance to houses before the actual caroling date.

Yes, I think they do that so homeowners know they are coming.
