After I vacuumed and cleaned out the vacuum filter, I went to get on the computer, it wouldn't turn on.. The lamp by my desk wouldn't turn on, either, so I wondered if it was the power strip I had everything plugged into. I unplugged everything, and then unplugged the strip and took it to another outlet. When I plugged it in, the little light on the strip lit up, so it worked over there. I went to the office and told them the outlet on that side of my apartment didn't seem to be working. They're supposed to have someone come look at it, but don't know when that will be. At least until then I have my phone so I can myLot. Hope all is going well with you in your part of myLot land!

How many outlets do you have on that side of your apartment? Are they all on strike or just the one you need for your computer? Did you try plugging the strip in again where you had it before? Maybe it needed to reset itself, which it did when you unplugged everything and tried another socket.

Everything on that side of the apartment seems to be on strike.

@xstitcher At least you have some power. Is there an electrical panel in your unit? Maybe all that needs to be done is flip a breaker switch, which you'd be able to do yourself. But if you're on fuses, you'd have to replace the blown one with a fresh one, which you probably don't have.

I have an outlet that seems to pick and choose when to work, but it’s not an outlet I use a lot.

That sucks when things like that happen.
