Ravichandran Ashwin, star Indian Cricketer in all formats of international cricket, draws the curtain on his flamboyant career spanning more than 14 years. An adept bowler, who surpassed Kapil Dev's record recently, announced his retirement today after BGT 3rd test ended in a draw. Btw are you a cricket fan?

I am a cricket fan. I don't look at the records per se... comparisons are unfair. The era was different. The number of games they played each year were fewer. The contemporary technologies for practicing and understanding effects and exercising equipment etc., everything is different. So how is it fair to compare.... If both cricketers played the same number of games, in same number of years, and got higher wickets than the other, giving fewer runs (including extras) then it is somewhat comparable. Every now and then bowler's statistic goes haywire because of fielder's mistake...so there should be some brownies for that as well, and deductions for extras and no balls...to complex but if comparisons are to be made, then that would be fair. Add brownie points for every 35 runs scored...each inning. Yeah...that is needed in an all rounder.
