This afternoon I took my siesta on the terrace of the house. Whatever made me take me this uncommon , out of the way step ! We are almost halfway into the winter. Our rooms have become too cold to have a comfortable slumber. I tried to sleep in one of the upper rooms but couldn't take a proper nap. I channel out of the room after 20 or 25 minutes . I was nearly shivering . So , I thought I must try change the habit. Our terrace is warm enough to help me take my siesta comfortably The only hassle was to take out a carpet, a matress, a pillow and a blanket. The sleep was short but it was nice. I don't expect friends in US , UK or Australia to take this adventure route. But, by any chance if you have done it please share in the comment box.

When I was a child on the farm we would all move our beds onto the verandahs in summer. It was too hot to sleep inside.

When I was growing up, we had a screened in porch at the back of the house. My youngest brother and I often slept out there on pallets during the hottest part of the Summer. With a concrete floor, that was the coolest room in the house. (Mom put old quilts on the floor to cushion us from the concrete.)

my brother used to sleep on terrace during summer nights, because it was less hot than in the apartment
