My Real Nightmare --How Long is it Going to Take Our Country To Get Rid of the 'Trump Stench'?

I have harped on Trump for months. I have tried to make those of them out there see what a horror he truly is. But, what I have come to realize is that people don't care. Oh, there are many who are traditionalists like I am and who think of integrity, honor, grace, forthrightness, morals, and goodness as the cornerstone and that these things should be what we look for in presidential material. A president who represents our country should be all of those things and someone everyone can look up to and admire. Trump is none of those things. But, I have been told that whatever it takes to make our country strong is enough of a sacrifice to make. Is it? I don't agree. I don't think that we really need a man to come into the White House and bulldoze his way through to get things done. I would much rather have a real man in office than an authoritarian who cares nothing about the little guy, just doing a half-assed job with his clown show, and then leaving it to the next Democrat to pick up the pieces and make repairs.
The office of the president is only a term of 4 years. Thank the gods. That doesn't give even the best of men time to repair past idiocy and get anything accomplished. All presidents need to play on a normal playing field. A man with integrity and morals needs to be the chosen one continuously. Not someone who is a felon to begin with and has no experience or goodness we can bank on.
A month from today Donald J. Trump will be sworn in as president. I must find a way to keep busy for the next four years. Something to keep me from going nuts. Trump drives me there. He has no self-control, no morals, and cares nothing about his fellow man. He cares only about his ego, his brand, his next thumbing down of anyone who says the truth against him. It will be interesting to see how much this idiot can get away with in the next 48 months. I hope there is at least some good thrown in. I will be counting them down and praying daily that he doesn't get one of his evil spawns to take over for him when he ends his term. Surely Americans won't continue to be led around by the nose and will see the light by the end of the next 48 months. But then, I thought so in November, and look what happened.
Here's hoping.
The picture is from my collection.

We don't live in an idealistic walgreens world. This is the sad reality. Morals and intergety often leave you a doormat, because you're not dealing with thse who think like you do. You need to get on the level of those you're dealing with. Politics isn't about and has never been based on a personality. The bar is low in terms of who can run for president. It always has been. It kind of has to be to make positions like this accessible to everyone.

The bar is low only because of people like the Putz. I don't think that position should be open to everyone and, especially not like him. A felon as our president? What a joke!

@kaylachan .........Why do they need to touch the Constitution? If a good man is president he wants those things to be respected. It is people like Trump who want to do away with it all. He wants an authoritarian regime. We don't need to 'raise the bar' if a good man is in office. One of integrity and honesty. Instead, we are going to have a felon. Something to be proud of. NOT!

@celticeagle You do realize that when it comes to the constitution, no one wants to touch it. And, in a country claiming all men are created equal, you kind of have to set a standard like that. Bar in mind, when presidents existed at first, we had a limited selection. It wasn't until the 1900's they amended the presidency to two terms, but to raise the bar, it would requiring to amend the consitution, again, and counter the base rights we fought for. If they did that, then it really wouldn't be America anymore.
