Candles! What is something inconsequential that just perks you up? I got a little spoiled because this past year I got some candles to review, and they were amazing. I know @NJChicaa has talked about her love of Yankee Candles. I can’t really recall the last time I bought one of those, although I remember going into their outlet store once, and it was impressive. That had to be over ten years ago. My favorite scent is rose, I’ve discovered. I’m not keen on the ones like expresso or pumpkin pie. The one pictured came today for me to review, and at first I thought it sounded plain…just vanilla. But I’ve had it lit for about twenty minutes, and I’m in heaven. I wish I could accurately convey it’s perfection. What about you? What’s going to bring you some passing joy? Anyone a candle lover like me?

I love candles and was a Director with Jewelry in Candles years ago before they closed their doors. They had tons of good scents, clean soy wax, and you had the perk of free jewelry inside. You could choose between rings, necklaces or earrings! I miss them. I didn't have a favorite, too many good scents to choose from!

I bought my sister one of those candles years ago! It had a beautiful ring in it. We thought it was the coolest thing.

@AmbiePam I was so sad that he closed the business. It was all over a divorce. The original co-owner started his own business, Country Scent Candles, but just recently he sold out.

I love candles. My daughter does, too. She gave me a Yankee candle that’s Balsam and Cedar, it’s wonderful!!

I'm afraid I'm not into candles at all. I always have these visions of curtains going up in flames because a candle has been placed too close. A vanilla fragrance would be lovely.

I used to love candles . . . but I can't handle "scents" so much anymore. I have always liked the lighter scents - not the ones that are too strong and overpowering. Now I essentially have just tea light candles in case of emergencies .

I used to like incense, and then one day it was like each and every fragrance was so strong my eyes would burn. For now, I can still handle candles. Just not the cheapies you get at like The Dollar Tree or Dollar General. My allergies go nuts with those.

@AmbiePam I used to get incense too - yah, those scents can be rather potent - gave me headaches. Right, the quality candles burn better and last longer (and generally smell way nicer!).

Oh that is so great that you found such lovely candles to enjoy. The scents of candles, essential oils and such, I compare with the flavour of yogurt. If it is just subtle and understated, I seem to appreciate it more. I think that you are the same. I am not so much into candles as I am essential oils these days.

@AmbiePam I put a few drops on the dryer balls and it makes the laundry smell so much better. And when the dryer balls are just sitting on top of the little mini fridge in the laundry room on the tray that I have, they add a nice scent to that room.

I love candles! If I am here and awake then there are 2 or 3 candles burning. Yankee Candles are expensive but I stock up when they have a buy 1 get 1 or buy 2 get 2 free promo. For Black Friday they did buy 2 get 3.
