Well the Winter Solstice is finally here, but it has felt like winter for awhile now. Today however, will be quite cold with moderately high winds to boot. It will certainly feel like a winter day I brought my electric blanket to the living room as I feel I am going to need it today. Does it feel like winter where you are?

It feels and looks like winter time here. Our ground is currently covered with snow, but the sun is shining brightly today, which is typical when it is very cold, which it is.

@snowy22315 Very busy. I went out a couple of times since then. I got my hubs a really cool new pair of boots. They have a fold down ice cleat in the heel part of the boot. They are just casual boots, but they had an early Boxing Day sale and I saved like $80 on them.

The high is 50 degrees today, so it doesn’t feel quite like winter, especially since this coming week will mostly be mid to high 50s for the temp. But hey, it’s still chilly enough to get a “wintery” feeling.

The high winds brought the cold here, but at least the sky is clear, the sun shines and the humidity is low.

It is barely winding at the moment, but I think they will increase later. I was just sitting here thinking I wish I had an aneomoneter. It would be fun to measure the windspeed. I have one outside that comes with a rain gauge, but it just indicates wind direction. I don't look at it honestly

Some of our country towns are expecting 46C today which is way too hot for comfort. We'll be over the 100F mark so the A/C will be running soon.
