So, I was looking out my window a little bit before 8 AM and saw a group of what appeared to be (and probably were) 4 planes flying in a formation. We aren't on a flight path here and other than low flying jets you hear over the nuclear plant every so often..or a few private planes that come to the lake you don't see planes very often let alone 4. Somebody just posted on FB..calling them drones Everybody thought it was a joke, and one person was saying some people who just graduated from the police academy had training in policing by drone and it could have been them on a trial run. Hmmm.

It seems to me that mass hysteria is sweeping the nation over the concern of these drones and other unidentified aerial phenomena. Whether we like it or not, drones are going to continue to become more popular and prevalent, and pretty soon it's going to be a routine thing to see dozens--if not hundreds--of them flying around through the air. Companies like Amazon and Walmart are already experimenting with drone delivery of packages to people's homes, so just think of how many of those things will be in the air once that becomes the standardization of home delivery!

Great, some of those deliver drones will probably crash into the tall trees we have around here and cause a fire. The ones I saw though were quite high up.

@snowy22315 I agree, there's going to be so many issues with drones that they'll practically be falling out of the sky. Trees, power lines, birds, shoot-downs, etc. It's going to get crazy for sure!

@moffittjc They are going to have to have strict regulations around them .which they probably won't put into place until someone gets injured or killed. It's always that way

The police use drones here to patrol the border. I think that Amazon planned to deliver packages using drones. I think there is nothing to be concerned about.

@LadyDuck Oh, I didn't know that. That seems a good use for them as long as they are safe and reliable, alot less expensive than running helicopters I am sure.

@snowy22315 - I know that the hospitals here use drones for the organs that need to be transplanted.

I’m surprised I haven’t noticed more of them around.

There has been a lot of comment about these drones or whatever they are. I guess drones are here to stay so hopefully what you saw were innocent drones just going about their business.

I hope so. Seems like there are alot of things in the sky now. There are two satellites which you can see at night nearby.
