Cats are lactose intolerant

This cat that comes to visit us must be hungry as today she climbed up the kitchen platform and I saw her lapping up the milk which had no lid. I had kept it that way for it cool. Cats should not have milk as they are lactose intolerant. Hope she will be fine I cannot use that milk but I will make curds and feed Peppie a bit of it everyday Peppie is a good boy he does not rob food that does not belong to him. A hug for Peppie

Interesting . . . here we often see/hear about cats lapping milk. My friend's cat likes butter and ice cream . But maybe dairy is not good for cats.

I had not known cats were lactose intolerant. I do not give Kitty milk. But as you may have seen, I gave her some Rice Chex today.

Many years back a cat used to regularly steal milk and fish from our house and then one day he clawed me and I had to get a shot so that was his last day at our house.
