Emotionally independent

In this unpredictable world, You always have to be prepared for the unforseen. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best. That's what they say. In your life, people will come and go. Some will be your fair-weather friends who will be with you till the day they need you. Few will stay forever. Its really hard to sift out these few main characters from the many extras in the stage of life. I think we should learn to be emotionally independent to be prepared for anything. I know its hard to do that. But we will have to.

yeah its really difficult. But I gues we will have to make peace with the fact that some people will leave no matter what.

But I am scared. The very thought scares me. I pray to God to never put me in that situation. I guess we all have to learn to stay strong.

When everyone is gone in your life you have to be able to carry on by yourself. It will be hard but you might have to do that someday.

I read somewhere that if we live our life from purpose, we live a peaceful life then too. To live from purpose, we need to prepare for the best, and hope for the best too. Our purpose moves us past the worst, which just turns into steps to our purpose, with the right attitude. Emotional independence might sound good, but we should move past emotional stances to the deeper connection of love, which removes all emotional nuances, and allows us to just compassionately love all, then instead.

It is very much doable. I am training my daughter to be independent. I want her to be emotionally strong as I am. You can do it too

Each one of us is different but most fall into “live and let live”. I recall a few who live for others while at the other extreme are those who look for easy prey to dupe them. The best way is to keep a distance and not depend on others.

Indeed, there will come a time when everyone leaves, and you are left with only yourself.

oh late reply. I mean not depend on others to satisfy your emotional needs. Like for example, you are feeling down and suddenly your good frnds arrive and you are all bubbling with energy. Or someone close to you told yu something bad, and yu becomme sad. You are giving others the power to control your emotions

i know we should but, sometimes, it's like a race with no end and i don't why i thought being older will be so much better than staying a child.

I agree it’s always good to be prepared for the worst. I look at both sides to everything so I look at the positives and the negatives.
