Dear all,
If you are ever traveling and need to freshen up, Love's truck stop allows for that (and no you don't need to be a trucker to use their facilities.)
The shorter the shower, the better though, to avoid unreasonable pricing.
I'm sharing this information because there may be some who needed it but never had it. As far as I am aware, even the homeless (unhoused, whatever term you rather) are allowed to use the showers there.

My grandfather back during his trucking days used to use their showers pretty regularly. @AmbiePam

@jnrdutton That’s great. Truckers deserve to have good options.

I haven’t used the shower, but they have excellent reviews of the facilities. Pilot/Flying J as well. They’re the ones I’d use because they’re national chains with a reputation to uphold. “Joe’s Truck Stop” doesn’t, so there’s no telling when their showers were last cleaned.
I was amazed at “the World’s Largest Truck Stop” in Iowa when I went there a few years ago. They had a dental office, a movie theater, and a museum in addition to showers, laundry facilities, lounges, and six restaurants.

When I came home from the Hosp I couldn't use my shower cause I didn't have the handicap
things I needed to stand in a shower, so I went to the truck stop in our town & took 1, & it cost
me 15$ but we both took a shower at the same time cause I was too weak to wash myself.
So yeah it may cost a little to use their showers, but when you need a shower they are there.
