Imagine; you are sitting under a tree. Suddenly you see a lizard on the branch of the tree. The lizard is very slowly proceeding towards a bug who is oblious of the imminent death. What would you do?? Would you.scare away the lizard and save the poor bug?? Or; would you decide to remain a mute specctator of what is going on ; and let the lizard satisfy its hunger?? I;for one; would decide to save the bug and scare away the lizard The lizard would find its food somewhere else. I would not let a poor creature die before my eyes.

I would let it be. Bugs in general have shorter lifespans and lizards need to eat, too.

@amnabas Doesn't mean I'd have to watch. I'd just let it be.

The the lizard is hungry. The bug does not know he is going to die. The lizard can have iits food anywhere else. I would take pity on the bug and save him Let me tell you I'm not the enemy of the Lizard; nor of the bug.

I would allow the lizard to eat the bug and walk away from the danger zone.

Thanks for responding. I;for.one;would scare away the lizardsoo that it can satisfy its hunger somewhere else. I cant be just a mute spectator of the murder of a poor creature.

I suppose I would leave Nature alone . . . Nature would decide the fate of either creature. Who knows - maybe they would end up to be friends .

@Shivram59 We have lizards running around in our yard . . . sometimes I feel bad for them because I'm never sure if they are getting enough water or food. There is not much in our yard . . . so I guess if a lizard sees a tasty treat, I'd have to let it be. But mostly I never witness that.

@much2say It can have a tasty treat somewhere else. In fact;they do here and there. So many small animals get killed and eaten up by the stronger ones. In a nearby village a farmer's buffalo was attacked by a leopard and consumed. The farmers who were present there tried to save it by trying to scare away the leopard; but failed. My question is; were the farmers trying to disturb the life cycle??

I agree. But I don't expect them to be friends. The lizard would kill it. I don't intend to keep the lizard hungry. It can find it's food somewhere else. That's why I would save the bug.

I won't be disturbing the nature if I save the bug. Would I disturb the life cycle if a tiger attacks my pet cow or dog. If you save yourself or your friend from a tiger??

I think you are very kind. Many people wouldn't care about a bug. I don't like to kill bugs or to see killed bugs. But many people enjoy killing them.

Thanks; my friend. Many creatures are getting killed every second. But if a small; helpless creature is going to be killed by a stronger one; we should not be mute spectators. For example; if your pet dog or cat is attacked by a tiger; I don't think you would try to save it. You won't let it happen.

That’s quite a vivid scene you’ve painted! It’s such an interesting dilemma, balancing empathy for the bug with the natural cycle of life. Honestly, I’d probably feel torn in that moment. On one hand, it’s hard to watch something so small and defenseless meet its end. On the other, the lizard’s just doing what it needs to survive—it’s not being cruel, just following nature.

You are absolutely right;my friend. It is really difficult to decide what one should do. If I save the bug; the life cycle would not stop. The lizard would find any other bug somewhere else and I would not be there to save the bug. But here I am; and a small; defenseless creature is going to be murdered. I can save it.And that's what I would do. I hope;you understand my viewpoint.
