Our neighbour invited us for their daughter's Mehendi and Wedding invite! I did not pick up their call as I did not want to go! But they called my mother and I had to go!
The mehendi wala bhai was so tired and kind of irritated when I went to him for re-applying henna on the back of my hands! Although I asked for a simpler ones!
I met a girl who was so opportunistic but that's a story for another day!
Have you ever gotten any henna or mehendi?

It's often better to pick up the call and polietly refuse. It's better then being forced into it.

@anya12adwi You failed because you didn't answer your phone. Had you picked up the call, you could've polietly declined without having to drag your mother into it.

@kaylachan My mother was already invited!! They are closer to my mother! I know I did wrong by not picking up their calls but I had to go anyway as it was happening next to our home!

Was it a henna tattoo or someone applied it on your hands?

No;never. I'm a man.It is girls who like to apply mehendi on their palms. In our family a mehendiwali comes to do the job; not a mehendiwala. And he makes hundreds of rupees within two to three hours.

Men do also! They write names and in marriages, they apply! Do not know general men if they apply or not! But I have seen my mamus writing name of their brides with henna!

@anya12adwi I dye my hair but never use mehendi. Mehendi has a colour I do not like
