I got to speak with Horse Jr. yesterday! He has a new girlfriend! Wheee!

I was strategic and called Horse Jr. yesterday when I figured his mom would be at work. Great success! He told me he is out of practice at welding, and that he is thinking of becoming a lawyer. I told him what a "legal precedent" was, and we discuss the law and other things. He told me that he has a "new girlfriend. He is moving forward in the world of romance. He told me she "goes to another school," but that they "text every day" He is still involved in scouting and is enjoying it. The only worrisome thing is he mentioned '"Satan," and some lectures he has been watching online. His mom was bit of a "conspiracy theorist "when they lived here (she believed jet con trails were actually chem trails, etc.), and had some other weird theories she was trying to pass on to her son. I asked him where he was hearing about "Satan," and he said it was frim his mom. I told him that I did not believe in Satan, and that my belief that people do bad things because of hurt they have suffered in the past. We talked for about an hour. It was a great Christmas present for me. If I can find it, I'll attach a photo of Horse Jr. strapped in my Xterra strapped in for some hiking on Mt. Diablo several years ago.
