26 December - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good evening from soggy, foggy Green Bay, Wisconsin. It's past my bedtime. However, I thought it would be good to check in with you.
I had a wonderful day that needed to work like a well-oiled machine.
I'm thankful for the hospital visit this morning. It was two pokes, but it wasn't bad, and I was out of there in forty-five minutes. Not bad. They were ready for me when I got there.
I'm thankful for the quick return process at Kohl's when I sent my hearing aids back to Amazon for a refund. I just couldn't get them to stay in my ears.
I'm thankful for the Secret Santa reveal party. Even though I have no idea who my Secret Santa was. He/she didn't come to the party. It was still good.
I'm thankful for Christmas dinner with my son and his girlfriend. There were seven of us. I had a wonderful time and played a game of Uno too. Oh yes, I ate way too much. I'm glad it was today and not yesterday as I was at another low on the scale this morning. I won't hold my breath for that tomorrow though.
I'm thankful for the three cards I got in the mail today from Thelma Alberts, Judy Evans, and Tammy S. I'm still looking for one more. I hope it comes soon Marie.
Okay, that's my day. I started out the day doing laundry and getting my steps. I'm ending the day with close to 12K steps. All walking. No time for the foot cycle.

I had a good day working at home sharing news stories as well as getting paid by a website for completing surveys despite a tornado watch throughout this evening that will last until two o' clock in the morning on Friday.

@just4him Thank goodness that there was no damage in my area even though tornadoes did touchdown in Alexandria and in the North Shore of New Orleans.

Thank you. I tried to make them work. However, it didn't happen. I'm still looking and hoping the audiologist will get back to me. I'll try again after the new year to get a hold of them. I just don't want to hear them say nothing is wrong with the hearing aids or the charging case. I know better.

Sounds like a good day there, that is good to hear. You should get a card from me too if you haven't yet. It's hard to keep track if everyone got them yet lol

I'm exhausted from all the holiday preparations and then all the hoopla on the day itself. As always it's nice when the whole family is together even if it's loud and crazy. I won't even think about stepping on the scale until at least the 1st of Jan.

I did and it wasn't too bad. Of course, I went up. To be expected, but a lot better than I expected it to be.

Great photo. I'm glad you had a good Christmas. Mine was OK because of my husband's cousin. She made the day quite tolerable for me. Have a good weekend.

I had a restful day after Christmas. Was in less mood to check out online or on my work items. I do know it does get piled up and well slowly I need to put in efforts to get back into things . Because after vaccation , it will be a very busy 7 months for me.I did watch tv for sometime and well food was ok , nothing special and had yesterday's leftovers for dinner. The year is ending and well there are so many things for me to close before year ends.Glad to see you had a great day. Reaching 12K per day is not a small feat and well thats inspiration for people like me , here in mylot. Enjoy the daya!
