We visited Sri Lanka for a holiday. It is a wonderful place with plenty of wildlife. the best part is the elephants which are great in number. Many elephants are kept by big farms and these take a bath in ponds. The tourists can enter the pond wash the elephants and pet it also and the beast enjoys everything. You can later also take a ride on the elephant. Small kids with us thoroughly enjoyed washing the elephants and the beast lay in the water happy as ever. it's a rare experience and I will like to go there just to be with the elephants again. You can also feed the elephants and they love to eat bananas and other fruits.

I once saw an elephant infront of me in a circus and I was so scared with its humongous size!
