Every year my cousin who lives in California sends me a Christmas card, with the wrong name on it. She is oblivious. She thinks I am using my maiden name or presumes incorrectly that I am and even though I am under a diff name on FB which she is also on, and Every year I send a card back with my correct name, she doesn't pick up on it, even when I write it in big letters. I give up. Since I typically get her card after Christmas I try to find a New Years card for her, however, I didn't see any today..so you and fam. are getting a Christmas card.

@MarieCoyle You are right Marie, and one person answers with the wrong assumption and then everybody else says the same thing based on that one response

Over and over and over again. Which could be solved if people would read the post AND the comments...at least, most of them.

Judy, some people don’t read anything they don’t have to. I even see it here every day. Someone puts up a discussion. Someone comments with a question, and the question is answered. Then it gets silly because there are more comments with the same question, repeatedly. If they would read it would be answered. Yes, I know, it makes a bit of money, but the original poster is busy answering that same question.

Maybe she is really assuming you are using your maiden name.
We don't send or get Christmas cards anymore. But I miss sending one to my cousin.

Probably but if she paid one bit of attention she would realize that isn't the name I use on FB.

I was thinking about putting the wrong name on her card, but that is just kind of silly and petty.

@snowy22315 It is petty, but it may have got you the reaction that could have brought on a conversation that is overdue.

@sallypup Yeah, I was kind of taken aback. It goes to show you, you can pick your friends but not your relatives.

My husband's cousin gets a Christmas card from her cousin every year with her first name misspelled. She never gets the hint either. Have a good weekend.

I guess it's better than not sending one, but really?
