Oh the knots these clowns tie themselves up in trying to do Vice President-elect Trump's bidding after he gets his orders from President Musk. For decades Republicans have been denying the effects of global warming and climate change on the planet. Like you can literally see sea levels rising, Arctic and Antarctic ice melting, species being endangered due to habitat loss and the GOP just like closes their eyes, covers their ears, and is all "LALALALALALALALALA".
Trump's newest (well revived) obsession is the US obtaining Greenland which is an autonomous territory of Denmark. . . which is one of the founding members of NATO and one of our allies. Denmark said that the idea of the US buying Greenland is absurd but Trump is fixated on making it part of the United States.
Today you have the usual GOP suspects out there on the Sunday morning shows trying to defend VP Trump's statements and frankly beclowning themselves. Robert O'Brien is a former presidential assistant for national security affairs who went on Fox News this morning to defend Trump's Greenland obsession (among other things). His explanation for why the US needs to acquire Greenland? We need it for national security and shipping purposes due to climate change. Seriously. "It's strategically very important to the Arctic which is going to be the critical battleground of the future because as the climate gets warmer the Arctic is going to be a pathway that maybe it even cuts down on the use of the Panama Canal."
So for years and years Republicans denied climate change but now that Dear Leader suddenly wants to annex Greenland global warming is a very real thing. The pathetic thing is that the MAGA cult is so dumb that they don't even see the hypocrisy. They don't notice the sudden flip of opinions. It would be hilarious if it wasn't so sad.

Let’s see…put ships up there where they can bang into icebergs like the Titanic did?
I swear they need to start 25th amendment on him come January 3, as soon as the new congress is sworn in.
Oh, BTW, how does Orangeface take an oath that he’s already promised to break (e.g., be a dictator on day one, deport American citizens in violation of the Constitution, etc. etc. etc.)?

I never thought that I would come to a point of being sad about the US future.

I'm just glad that they are recognizing the crisis that our planet is in. Hopefully they won't flip again. Have a good week.
