Ah well Netflix finally caught up with me

Hahahahaha I moved here to this apartment from the house almost 6 years ago. My ex and I have always remained on good terms so he has let me keep my internet/email on his XFinity account and use his Netflix account. I have always been appreciative because that is less money that I have to spend myself. Yesterday evening I went to watch something and they were all "you are not part of this household account". My ex wouldn't just randomly kick me off of his Netflix so the company finally caught on to the fact that I am using the account but not living at the house. They have said for well over a year that they would be cracking down on people for that. I logged into the Netflix account on Christmas so my BIL could watch the football games. I wonder if that is what finally flagged the account. Oh well. It has been a good ride. I am in no rush to establish an account of my own. I'm sure I will eventually but not anytime soon.

I was given Netflix for many years by an old friend until Netflix said that you had to be in the same house. By then I had grown addicted so I rented it. I donĀ“t watch it so much, but anyway it is much cheaper than going to a cinema.

I hope you can find a way around needing to get your own. They charge a ridiculous amount.

@AmbiePam They no longer have the $12 plan, evidently they stopped it after I added my second TV.

I use friend's account for NF. I hope it doesn't happen to me. Maybe when he comes down here for New Years, I will have him login onto Netflix on my Kindle, and watch something on his account.

There's ways to get around it. Because people do travel and use their accounts outside their home. If you have your own profile on his account, you need only to verify its you and you're back.

@NJChicaa Ah, Okay. I ran into the same thing. It was easy to resolve. And, I only have the one account.

That's a bit of a pity but these things happen. We have Netflix but we go for ages forgetting to watch movies. We've watched a few this week.

Too cheap to pay $15.49 monthly to use it legally eh? Actually, you can have an 'outside' account. Better make sure ex-hubby still has you listed.
