I reached my reading goal for 2024.
And I even surpassed it by one book.
My goal was to read 75 books and I read 76.
I actually didn’t think I’d make it but reading poetry books certainly helped.
These books take less time to read, even the bigger ones.
I’m glad that Goodreads has the yearly reading challenge.
Definitely motivates me to read more books.

I mostly read fiction I think. And I’m not sure if poetry is considered fiction or nonfiction.

@lovebuglena Good question if poetry is fact or fiction.

I have written and published a novel. I may have a few short stories from way back in the day but don’t remember. Would have to search.
What do you mean by nonfiction exactly? Prose?

@lovebuglena I stand in awe. I have written novels but none are finished or published. By non-fiction I meant articles or anything, Including books, that are based on facts and are true. Memoirs are an example. Then there are books about history, science, or other verifiable true accounts. Facts, real people, actual events.
I have sold accounts of things that happened to us. Two were UFO encounters. Another was about a child who sees and speaks to angels. They may sound like fiction but they were true.

@akalinus I’ve published content online that is non-fiction I’d say.

Wow! That's too many, I was not able to read a lot of books this year, but I think next year is a good time to start one.

Congratulations! I'm struggling to finish the book I'm reading. I used to read 1 or more books a week. Have a good week.

Yep. Some manage to read 100 or more books a year. Wonder how they do it.
