Are you five? Yes, actually, sometimes I am. I can't deny it. Sometimes you just want something for dinner that is simple and fills the bill, and hot dogs wrapped in crescents, also known as Pigs in a Blanket is exactly what the doctor ordered. These are wrapped and uncooked, but it's what's for dinner tonight and I know they will be delicious. Just going to put them into the oven for about 14 minutes at 375 degrees Fahrenheit and they will be good eats. What's going on your dinner table tonight?

I've never made those - I've only seen them at parties with those cocktail sausages - not big ol' hot dogs. We are going to do linguine and clams, with a side salad. Oh - and served with these take and bake dinner rolls I found on clearance!

@porwest I would make those, but I can't believe my kids don't like hot dogs of any kind . Do you dip them into a sauce? Linguine and clams, the way I make them, is sooooo easy yet tasty!

Yeah, you can make them with smaller dogs or Lil Smokies, but they are very good either way. I just decided to make them into bigger ones since I thought they would be fine to eat that way. They were very good. Your dinner sounds awesome.

Perfect in a pinch and just for something simple and filling. We had some leftover fried potatoes and green beans with them. Good eats.

It's been a long time since I had that delicacy. I had salmon and rice.

How can you call pigs in a blanket a delicacy and then state you had salmon? In my book, salmon far outpaces hot dogs any day. lol

Hubby used to make those every once and a while. I had a turkey/Swiss sandwich and Cheetos. Have a good New Year's Eve.

I have not had Cheetos in a while, but I do like them. The pigs in a blanket were just what the doctor ordered.

They can be with anything. Hot dogs, Vienna sausages, Lil Smokies, even sausage links or bratwurst. Another version of pigs in a blanket are breakfast sausage links wrapped in a pancake.

I had some chicken thawed for dinner but nothing sounded good...I messed around online and found Parmesan Baked Chicken. It was somewhat different from the recipe I usually use for this, and I had a small hunk of Parmesan I needed to use, anyway. It was so, so good. We had salad and baked potatoes w/sour cream....happy tummies over here tonight.
