Throughout our tours in Nepal and India we have found ourselves visiting multiple Buddhist temples and today we were at two mosques In order to enter them we had to re move all shoes, socks and leather belts. It’s a totally different culture here. Photo taken by me at mosque in New Delhi India

Great photo. I wonder why you have to remove leather belts? Because of the sacred cow? Have a good New Year's Eve.

In temples, the standard practice is not to allow anything that has animal stuff! Although most people possess fake or duplicate leather stuffs!

Didn't know about removing leather belts. I worked with Gurkha soldiers, from Nepal, and that was an experience

Those items are removed here in our city when you visit a mosque or a temple.

Belts were known to be leather material! Although only richie rich can afford real leather products but they tend to keep the tradition today too! As leather is known to be made from animal skin!
