Christmas Gift, should you say something if it wasn't"t what you asked for?

So, I got my missing Christmas gift, it isn't what I asked for. Why ask somebody, what they want for. Christmas just to deliver something else? I don't get it. You are e spending the money anyway, why not get something the other person wants.?She included receipts but I think they are both to stores not around here. I mean what she got wasn't bad. I was just disappointed. I will probably not say anything but not thrilled It's the thought that counts but it seems little passive aggressive.

@snowy22315 She literally got me everything that I put on my list.
And same for my hubs.
It made us feel a little uncomfortable, we didn't want to make a list I mean we are not children.
I asked for a Nicholas Sparks book and actually got 3 of them.
Next year we are probably going away with them, and we will need to lay down ground rules that it will only be gifts for the children.

Bottom line she didn"t want to do it. However, in the future, if she doesn't plan in getting what I ask for she shouldn't"r ask

I have this friend who is returning form her US holiday and has asked what she should bring for me.
I just do not know.

It would depend on who it was whether I would say something or not. Since she included the receipts, I wouldn't say anything. You could always send it back to the store. Call first of course. Have a Happy New Year!!!
