Meal reports for the day

Breakfast was coffee and banana oatmeal muffins and sausage patties. For lunch we went to Pizza Hut Buffet. It is not as good as it used to be, and these new flavors all seem to be "sweet". Too much sugar in the sauce. It was a filling meal. It was a pricey meal, partly because we got soft drinks. In the good old days the drink was included in the price of the meal. I also had a salad. It was not the healthiest meal for me, and I could tell it as I went shopping afterwards and did not have a lot of energy. Tonight at home we ate Navy beans, cooked with the bones from our spiral cut ham. Navy beans are the small white beans.They came out very good, and we have plenty to eat tomorrow, and even some to freeze. About mid November of this last year I made several soups and froze them in portions. So nice to have when I feel bad or I do not want to cook. With our beans we had toasted pumpernickel bread. It was quite yummy. I just made some whole berry cranberry sauce with added apple and spices. It will be a treat for tomorrow. I will make more banana muffins as I have some overripe bananas to use up. This will make breakfasts for me easy. I am supposed to go call my daughter now, and wish her a good incoming New Year.
