2025 Has Arrived

I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year. I hope that it will be a very good year for us all.
My husband is working. I hope that he gets to come home soon.
I took down our Christmas tree and decorations this morning. I need to vacuum and then I’m done for the day.

He has worked nearly every New Year’s Day and Eve since we’ve been together.

@porwest He works at a casino resort and does the banquets, concerts and any other scheduled events. They work off of the main site sometimes too at their other casinos, golf course, water park, rodeo and such.

I’m having lunch. I’ve seen a few fl*rries, but nothing to go get bread and toilet paper about.

Happy New Year to you too. I know I sent a text, but it's nice to wish it again.
I hope he came home in a timely manner. I don't take Christmas down. I didn't get a tree this year, so I only have my little fiber optic, and it stays up year-round. I unplug it though. Not yet.

A very Happy and Prosperous 2025 to you and family. Well, working on New year day is not so fun . Hope he was able to come home early. I took a leave on New Year day. Never wanted to work on New Year whenever possible. Cleaning is a great thing to do on New Year day. The freshness comes from here on for next 364 days. I had a simple New Year day . Stayed mostly indoors and well just watching tv and browsing internet. It was fun and made a few calls. Well things could get bus from now on. Well, enjoy the time!

Did he get to come home soon after you wrote your post? I hope you got to spend most of the day with him. We went to see my sister today, but it was also my dad and his wife’s 9th wedding anniversary. So at least they got to spend the day together. He took her out for dinner last night. He said he took her somewhere fancy. I said, “Subway?”
