I hope you had a glorious New Years Eve Celebration. And may your 2025 be fabulous.
I get to work at Guitar Center today. I wonder if there will be no-shows. Hungover parents, and all that.
Last night was great. I either:
a) Went to a wild party, got seriously wasted, kissed a pretty French girl under the mistletoe for 15 seconds straight, and held her hand as the fireworks exploded overhead
--or--
b) Gave Kitty and extra long purr session, went to bed at 9 PM, woke up briefly when a short volley of fireworks (I did not hear gunshots) occurred, turned over, and went back to sleep.
Your choice.
I actually did make one New Years Resolution: I am going to take at least one guitar lesson from Stevie Coyle this year. He's the guitarist from the Waybacks and the Quitters whose boutique guitar store I visit when I need some mellow juju.
Happy New Year! Any resolutions?

I'm just going to take a wild guess it was B. lol. As for resolutions, the last one I made was to never again make resolutions, and it is the only one I ever stuck with. Onward and upward and Happy New Year. I am looking forward to any and all future arguments we shall have in 2025, and let the pennies rain from the Heavens as a result of them. lol

@porwest We will see what the year brings. Did I mention that I jammed with Jack, Rod and a dide I had not played with before. He's a really good harmony singer and guitarist. We're gonna call ourselves a band and try to get some gigs.

I hope your resolution is to share a little of that lottery money you won (they said the winner was in Northern California, so we know it was either you or Kitty).
As for your New Year’s Eve, I’d say BOTH are correct. You dreamed A as you did B.

I make no resolutions but I look back over my notebooks at what I have done, what I plan to do now, and what I should change or not, My cat Freddie blamed me for the fireworks last night because he saw me looking out my window at them, Then when I got into bed he spent a long time meowing which I think was complaining, he finally went to sleep but an idiot blasted a big one at 3 AM not the cat is avoiding me and givingt me the evil eye,

My resolution this year will be to eat more meals in moderation and lower my chances of getting sick from diabetes.

@TheHorse It does scare me to get lectured by my doctor for being obese and dealing with kidney failure.

For you and because I am a romantic I would wish it to be a but, as life goes it was probably b.

I am sure Kitty got good care on New Year eve. Thats a good resolution. There could be nice lessons to learn as well. I have stopped making New Year reoslutions. It never worked in past. In fact, it has miserably failed for all the people I know. Most of them make one and will follow maximum for month and then they forget. They would remember more on things while year closes and have the same goal for next year and the cycle of things goes on. I insted focus on short term goals independent of the year but time bound. It has a better success rate with me. Enjoy your time!
