Just a Hello

This morning I was up early to go see my sister and her family two and a half hours away. I didn’t get to see them for Christmas because the kids were sick. We had lunch with them, and opened presents. They got me a glass bottle that says, “In my Auntie Era”, and a sweatshirt that says, “Best Aunt Ever”. Of course, I loved them. Hudson loved his construction vehicle from me so much he literally did not stop playing with it other than when we took some pictures and got our goodbye hugs. He’d definitely talk to you, but he was just too busy to look at you. 
I’m not as “bright eyed and bushy tailed” at the beginning of this year like I was on the first of January 2024, but I’m still going to praise the Lord for what I have, what I’ve avoided, and the people who have helped me along the way. That includes many of you who have been lights, and many of you who have brought much needed laughter.
Happy New Year. I hope January is just the start of a great 2025 for you!

Thanks, and I hope your 2025 is amazing! You sure deserve it. That Annalynne is really a character. I think she should get into acting. She seems very expressive and dramatic Cutie!

@averygirl72 No, they are my older sister’s children. They are all adopted is why they don’t look alike.

You must just mean the world to them to receive such sweet gifts as you did.
I am happy for you.
And Hudson loving his present so much as he did, you will always remember that.
When I see the news today and in the weeks leading up to today, I ask for strength to keep myself on the straight and narrow and to never stop caring and being the strong person that I feel that I need to be.
Those of us who try to rise above the mentality of the crime and hatred in our society seem to be able to find each other and support and raise each other up.
I find that my friendship with you is very uplifting, thank you for that Amber.
Let's keep the positivity going each and every day of 2025, and when it gets hard due to the news stories that we see, do it for the next generation, they deserve that much.

Ahhhh, this photo is soooooo cute! Glad they all got better and you could have a belated Christmas celebration with them . . . sweet times with the fam

2024 was up and down for me . . . and in end came some revelations. I am at some neutral point where I can say and believe that life starts NOW . . . either do something about it or don't. I aim to make this a productive year . . . whatever that means . . . in happiness, health, and everything else that truly matters. Yep.

Seeing those happy faces of your nieces and nephew made me smile this morning. They are so adorable and what a happy bunch.
Hope this year is a good one for you even though it started off a bit slow. You have been such a bright light yourself to many of us here and I just want you to know that my life is better because I met you. I pray for you every night Amber

Thats a fantastic way to start the New Year! You spent time with the kids and cared about them. And they returned the love in their own ways. I do miss good bye hugs . Not all are lucky to have such moments that too on the first day of the year. For me, I stayed indoors all day. Wished few friends and taked to few over the phone. Watched tv and browsed internet. Did not do anything special. Just relaxing for the day. Also grateful to God for allowing me to see another year and with better company. I have you and many others from mylot who are my virtual family. Well, have a great time ahead!

The kids all look so happy. I am very glad you were finally able to see them for the holidays. And yes, it sounds as if much love and thought went into gifts for the ''Best Aunt Ever'' which I am sure you are!
I have had help along the way this year, too. From other family and many friends, who helped keep me centered and motivated through the really rough times, I am very thankful.
I hope we all have a good year.
