Broke Tradition

We went with a crazy tradition last night sweeping out 2024 and inviting 2025 in our house. BUT...today...instead of Black eyes peas and Greens...we had Homemade Poppers. Took the jalapena pepper, gutted it, cut in half. Added Cream Cheese, and wrapped them in Bacon. Baked them and at them. The only thing I did today was wash dishes, and throw some stuff away. Tomorrow will be a very busy day of trying to get some help with finding a place and getting estimates on moving us when we DO find a place. Keep us in your prayers that we find a decent place to live. Thank You!

Hope that you find a good place soon. We don't have any new year tradition in our country, none that I know of. But yes, with social media and global influence, many youngsters are trying these. My niece got grapes, she ate twelve of them making twelve wishes. She watched it in the show Modern Family where Gloria does so.

My Friend's grand daughter ate 12 Grapes sitting UNDER a table. It is said that doing so will bring you Love. I know in Spain they eat 12 grapes for Luck...you eat one grape for every chime of the clock at midnight.

@Ghostlady My niece did the same. Many of us here are not aware of this tradition. When she sat under the table, some found it weird and laughed.
