Good morning 1/2/25

So funny to write the date as 1/2 with a 25 at the end. Unfortunately, I have to go to Walmart today to pick up some meds. I will look to see what they have in terms of battery operated heated blankets or gloves or such. It is going to be brutally cold here, and if we have snow, ice and wind there is a good chance the power might fail. The last time that happened, a few yers ago. I do have an indoor [propane heater now, as well as something I can cook on if need be, but it is really more of an emergency stove. I have a gas grill in the back, but you really aren't supposed to use those in cold weather.

I hope you can find a battery operated heated blanket, we have one "just in case", we bought soon after Russia attacked Ukraine, as we failed natural gas shortage.

The ones on Amazon were either very expensive, didn't have good reviews or would take too long to come

@snowy22315 - I think to remember that I bought locally, not at Amazon.

@LadyDuck I didn't stop at Walmart to shop just to pick up my meds. It doesn't seem we will be getting much in the way of snow or ice but there are a few chances for it. The cold is another matter.

@Tampa_girl7 I just hope the power doesn't go off. It doesn't look like we will be getting too much in terms of snow and ice, and that will help.

Hope your trip to Walmart is successful and you find the things you need to keep warm if the power goes out. My fingers are crossed that we don't get too much snow or extreme cold

I was really not into trudging around Walmart today. I just got my meds and stopped at a local hardware store, plus DT for some fingerless gloves and foot warmers.

You need to be prepared if the winter is going to be so brutal.

Thanks, it could go out with the high wunds, but there won't be slot if snow and ice so that should make it not tio hard to get back on.

Thanks, I am not in the mood to go, but I do need a few things, plus I can check a few stores for cold weather supplies in the way there
