I managed to solve the Windows 10 problem, sometimes there are some components that cannot run due to inappropriate software and hardware.

@snowy22315 I want to try upgrading to Windows 11 but my processor doesn't support that version of Windows yet.

What are you using now, a chromebook? They are pretty handy, but can't do everything.

@snowy22315 — I use an iPad 99.9% of the time, and a MacBook Pro when I need a “real” computer.

That could cause a problem with security. I will just set them all to do in the middle of the night and forget about them!

That is one thing about Windows computer. However, as you rightly identified you can set for update during shutdown or for night. The initial 1 month , there would lot of updates but then prehaps once in weekly or monthly basis. In a way it is a blessing because most times, it is security patches to protect our operating system. Since Windows Operating system is most used across the world, they need to be on top when it comes to security and things especially in the era of cybersecurity challenges. However, it is sometimes time consuming and boring. Take care!

Since I only use my phone, it is easy for to forget how extensive those blasted updates were when I used a Windows computer.

I went ahead and did one today, because it said it would take 3 minutes..What a joke, took more like 20. No more daytime updates.

My updates usually don't take more than 15-20 minutes. They start when I go to shut down. Have a good weekend.
