So last year my reading goal was 75 books.
I ended up reading 76.
Now that it’s 2025 it’s time to set a new reading goal.
How much should I increase it by?
What should it be?
Potentially, I’d love to get to 80.
But I may set it at 77.
7 is considered a lucky number and there are two 7s in 77.
Hopefully, I will end the year with at least 77 books, though I’d love to end with more.
Today will be my first trip to the library this year.

@lovebuglena If you can read Russian, you are blessed. Something is always lost in translation. The only Russian "tome" I have read is War and Peace.

Yep. I already read one book. But it was poetry and very small. My second book is Anna Karenina. That’s the only book I borrowed because it’s super long and not sure how long it will take to finish it. I’m gonna read English translation of it rather than the original in Russian. It will probably be easier.

@TheHorse Russian is my native language. I want to tackle War and Peace as well at some point. Maybe even this year.

Two 7s could be the ticket. Enjoy the books.

Usually I read fiction. Sometimes I read memoirs. Also read lots of poetry books. Not sure if that’s considered non-fiction or fiction. Maybe it’s a bit of both?

This girl I am connected with on fb read I think 132 books last year. But seems she reads a lot of audio books. Maybe that helps get through a book faster.

@TheHorse hard to pick just one. Some are the latest books by Fiona Davis.

@lovebuglena actually I am a published author, I am more into writing than reading...as a result it becomes difficult to read more n more books, writing consumes a lot of time
