Beauty Isn't Something You Chase...

But it is something we hold inside ourselves. The beauty product companies keep telling us we need to be fixed. That laugh lines and wrinkles aren't signs of a life well lived and of character but of age. But who does chasing perfection really serve? I personally think that a woman with some brown spots or wrinkles are much more interesting than a person with caked on makeup that looks like a manicun. Many women spend the better part of their lives trying to reach this supposed perfection that society dictates when it is richer when nature takes the helm and things shift as they will. We can miss a lot of life by dropping authenticity and trying too hard not to just age.

It's not just women now. They are pressing some of the same stuff towards men now

I stopped wearing makeup decades ago; and I stopped dying my hair when I retired on disability. I found out that I had really pretty silvery hair. I'm not the babe that I was at 21; but that's OK with me. Thank you for your post and have a good weekend.

I did too. I rarely dye my hair. I'm not trying to impress anyone now days anyway.

So far I feel content with my signs of aging. I imagine that I will continue to except the changes as they come.

I took care of my skin when younger and don't have much of an issue now.
