A unique Christmas tree

We spent Boxing Day with my niece. She loves Lego and her latest acquisition is the Eiffel Tower which she had decorated as her ‘Christmas tree’.
Vince has used a software program to doctor the left-hand photo, and you can see the result in the right-hand photo. Once, the saying was that the camera doesn’t lie but that is no longer true. Very little that is printed in words or pictures can be trusted to be original or true nowadays.
We need to be on the alert all the time. But it’s not all doom and gloom. Just remember, every day above ground is a good one.

Its' amazing what you can do with Legos these days. The Eifel Tower Christmas tree is indeed unique. I never would have thought to do that.

@Marilynda1225 I have an idea there is a similar show on Australian TV but I haven't watched it.

I tend to be very wary of most I see online anymore, the problem is that often I research medical problems for friends and I can only pray that what I find is not 'doctored', I've used WebMD a few times and hopefully it is truer than most.

I would never have guessed that the Eiffel Tower was made of Lego blocks. Have a good weekend.

I knew that was supposed to be the Eiffel Tower but couldn't make out that it was made of Lego blocks.

This doctoring has been going on for a while now. It is just one's luck that one gets the pure stuff these days

It sounds like you had a wonderful Boxing Day with your niece! Using the Eiffel Tower Lego set as her Christmas tree is such a creative idea—it’s always amazing how imaginative kids can be with Lego. I’m sure it brought a unique festive charm to the room!
Vince’s edited photo is a great example of how technology has changed the way we view images. It’s fascinating how much we can alter photos these days, but as you mentioned, it also makes us more cautious about trusting what we see. The phrase "the camera doesn’t lie" truly feels like a relic of the past. We now live in an age where almost everything can be manipulated, whether it’s pictures, videos, or even written content.
That said, it’s a good reminder to stay critical and alert, especially with the constant flow of information we’re exposed to. However, I love your perspective—it's not all doom and gloom. There’s always something to appreciate about each day we get to experience. The small joys, like spending time with family, admiring a creative Lego masterpiece, or sharing a laugh over a clever photo edit, make life so much brighter.
Here’s to cherishing those moments and staying optimistic, no matter what comes our way. Thanks for sharing such a relatable and thoughtful reflection!

My friend's grand-daughter asked for a 'proper' camera for Christmas, meaning one that uses a real film that has to be developed. lol I've heard such cameras are becoming more popular. Sounds like the wheel has gone full circle.

Yes, you really need to be on your toes nowadays and take everything online with a pinch of salt.
