Finally Friday (I finally know what day it is)

Happy Friday Everyone! it's a sunny morning with flurries expected later this afternoon. Fingers crossed it's only flurries and nothing that needs shoveling. Have I ever mentioned how much I dislike winter? My son and grandson came yesterday afternoon and put up the new banister. It took them longer than I thought it would but the new one is really secure and not wobbly at all. Now I can go up and down the stairs without worrying that it would pull out from the wall and I would lost my balance and fall. This afternoon I have a grocery delivery coming. Decided not to wait until the weekend just in case the weather gets bad. Better to be prepared I say!! By tomorrow we'll have to make sure to get the outside lights taken down. We got some really pretty solar lights that are on the bushes and along the sidewalk but if it snows they'll be buried. As for the inside decorations we'll start putting stuff away but will leave the tree up a little while longer. I have a few skeins of yarn that I sold so I'll pack that up today and hopefully I can catch the mailman when he comes. Yes, it's a shocker that I've sold a few skeins of yarn but decided I didn't like it after I bought it so now I can buy new stuff with the money I made That about sums up what's going on here. Going to have another cup of coffee and catch up on my notifications and see what's happening in the myLot world today.

Monday is still a holiday here (Epiphany - or Three Wise Kings Day). I will take all the decorations down on Monday afternoon.

I feel like today, Friday, is just leading to another 2 days off. Next week it will mean more to me as I will have worked 5 days straight. Most of our decorations are down and put away. I will take the wreath down lastly on Monday. I ordered a robo vac on Boxing Day and I was really itching to see her do her stuff, so the tree is down and I ran the robo vac to do the clean up. It is nice to sit back and put my feet up for the robot.

@Marilynda1225 Marilyn, it is so nice. I find that pushing the vacuum, especially over mats and carpeting, strains my back. This is a nice alternative. I will probably always use the vacuum for the hard to reach places, like beside the toilet the places like that, but she goes behind the couch and under the buffet and reaches every corner of where she goes. Our son has mostly porcelain tile, with dimples in it, on his main floor, and I suggested that they try the one that scrubs because as it is now, he gets down on his hands and knees (imagine a man doing that) and he spends hours scrubbing that floor to get all of the dirt out of the dimples. He tells me that he knows it is there if he notices dirt on his white socks. And with a busy household both working full time and the girls, it would help them with time management, they could all pick up everything, and then when they leave for swimming or skating lessons, the vacuum could do its thing.

I've always been intrigued by those robots vacs and wondered if they worked well. I'm sure you were happy to put your feet up and watch the robo do it's job. You're ahead of me in getting your decorations down

I’m so glad the new banister is up. That would make me so nervous to go up and down the stairs.

I lean on it so it was making me nervous too when it started getting wobbly. Now it's nice and sturdy

Not sure what I'll do today, but right now I think I'll have a cup of soup... I was going to say tea but my fingers typed soup Maybe I'll have that instead.

I know I was gone for a while. It's good to know you're still drinking coffee. My world would have collapsed if you gave it up. I'm glad you sold some yarn. It will make someone happy. I'm glad you have a new banister and aren't in danger of falling. Enjoy the snow.

I'm laughing that your world would have collapsed if I had stopped drinking coffee. Even if i was in a coma I would still want my coffee via intravenously Glad you're here. I've missed your posts

@Marilynda1225 Thank you. Some things just need to stay the same and you drinking coffee is one of them. I missed being here, even though I was doing what I needed to get my next book published. I need to get more work done on it. Faith to Believe will be the next book.

Glad you got your bannister up. Yesterday, I was busy doing a mystery shop and trying to get a few more snow supplies;

Are you in the path of that Polar Vortex that they're talking about? It was oddly overcast half the day here - not it's sunny. Yah, maintenance projects always take longer - but good that you can safely do the stairs without having to worry about it anymore. I think we'll probably put away decorations this weekend. I saw some neat yarn the other day at the craft store - thought of you actually! I need to get going with our afternoon . . . I think you will be my last comment for now . . . enjoy the rest of your day!!

Happy that the bannister is secure. Hope you don't get a bunch of white stuff. It's been here off and on all day

We will take down our decorations today or tomorrow. It's good the bannister is so secure. At our ages, the last thing we need is a fall.

I'm with you when it comes to winter. It's going to be in the 20s and teens for the next week; and the s**w that we're getting will not melt. Have a good weekend and stay warm. I'm glad you have a new banister.
