Covered holes today

Philippines
January 3, 2025 9:59am CST
Seemed to notice two holes in the side walk lately. It's just those darn vehicles kept ramping their tires on those pavements, eventually the cement gave in. Under it is a water pipe line. Mom asked me to cover it. So, I put some rocks there, but she was concern that people might trip. So, I bought more cement and sand to cover it and then put the wood & rock there again just to keep people from stepping on it. This evening I was going to continue but it rained. Maybe resumed it someday. Have a nice day

Is there a kind of statue or even a large construction cone type thing you can put there to keep the delivery people off if it? Makes me very upset they are destroying things the way they are making things hard and expensive for you guys.

@Letranknight2015 I’m sure it was due to the truck being heavy and parking where they shouldn’t

My mom stated that it maybe poor constructed on the part of the workers since it was made 14 years ago. Or simply the truck was heavy @shaggin

Hope that does the trick! Happy New Year to you. May 2025 filled with great things where we don't have to do all these little maintenance projects that drive us nuts .

@Letranknight2015 You should see the sidewalks here . . . much of it is ruined thanks to overgrown trees they planted a long time ago . . . they must not have foreseen what would happen. The city is supposed to take care of it - but they won't. They say to fix it ourselves (with their exact specifications) and that they might reimburse for some of the repair. But hardly anyone repairs it.

It's supposed to be the local government's job @much2say but they only fixed the ones that are viable to floods.

I didn't do this for those DARN vehicles @just4him they're not even allowed to park there. let alone ramp on that side walk that created the holes in the first place.

It was meant to keep pedestrians from falling or stomping but it's supposedly LGU's job to fix it @anya12adwi

@Letranknight2015 How to raise this complaint with them? Did they ignore this problem?
