New year, new books

New year. New books to read. I’m about to dive into a translation of a Russian classic: Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy. The novel is 817 pages long. How long will it take me to read this book? Hopefully no more than three weeks. Maybe at some point I will tackle the original Russian version of the book. Russian is my native language after all. And if I get through Anna Karenina maybe I will give War and Peace a go. That book is even longer. It’s not the first time I’m reading a very long book. Another author I read, Cassandra Clare, writes very long books. And I’ve read them all.

@lovebuglena that plus Pride and Prejudice and even Little Women are great classics I love reading the books and then watching the movies, There is a great old Hollywood movie with Greta Garbo as Anna Karenina, It is from 1935.

Good luck with your reading. I have a Stephen King book to read that's over 700 pages. I won't be reading that one any time soon. Have a good weekend.

My mom used to stay up all night reading a book. She read some very sizeable ones too. I hope you are drinking plenty of liquids and not setting too long reading. Watch your health.

Good for you. When you are nearing your reading goal at the end of the year, you can tackle short books.

It’s not the most comfortable thing holding a very big book in our hands for a long time.
