Got on my nerves

I've learned not to let people get on my nerves at work, however, yesterday a few people did.
One older employee came to the office, that knows me from my previous job, practically yelling, " these people would have been fired at _____ if they do what they do here" I said "yes they would." Yes I would have fired them for not following company policy but this is a new company I work for and the lead manager does the firing, the last place I worked I had that power. This new job, I report the problem and it's dealt with. With that being said the manager does her job at this company, the manager didn't at the other company.
Another young employee repeated a new policy over and over to me till I wanted to scream. I read it, I know what it is.
Not two but three employees got on my nerves.
This one is argumentive, every time he works, but he really messed up, he walked to the office, leaving his cash drawer open and asked for money!!! All he had to do was pick up the phone and call me out to his register. Every point of service has a phone. When I called him to the office he wanted to argue that he was watching the open cash drawer, I had to get stern with him.
I get to find out today if he still has a job.
I was given this manager position to clean up what has been going wrong and a lot of the behavior has changed, however, people don't want to change to keep their jobs. I've warned them.
I hope today isn't busy.

Work is a different type of irritating. You try to let things go but people have a habit of getting under your skin. There was one guy at my old job that knew how to get under everyone's skin and made it his daily goal to irritate you. He would target a different person every day. Sometimes it was fun but sometimes he crossed the line.

At least you don't have to decide whether they keep their jobs or not, or have to fire directly. That would be a strain.

Sounds like you have a lot on your hands, I hope you can get everything straightened out and I hope the employees start doing better,

I can understand. I would be irritated too.
I just returned from my trip and I will be busy unpacking and doing laundry for a week or so.

I hope you were not too busy and the careless cashier got taught a lesson, and was willing to learn.

There's always someone that irritates you on a job. I worked with a lot of irritating people in my lifetime. Good luck handling them! Have a good day.
