We dont get much snow in England but she its coming we get giddy with excitement,. The countries kids love it and even put their Playstations down to go sledging! And , of course, our over safety conscious society closes schools in fear of kids hurting themselves - or parents suing the schools for hurting their kids. The reality is kids off school in the winter are far more likely to injure themselves on snow and ice.
Snow is romantic but in the UK its soon a gray slush as the Atlantic Ocean wins out and blows in much milder air, as was the case today. I feel like its a Morgan Freeman narration moment to out weather -
'...And just for one moment, England fell silent in the dark of the night as the snow fell unseen by a sleeping nation. The fox went about its business as their world turned white. Then , as always here, the air warmed, the snow melted and the sludgy grayness returned to the awakening people..'
Its mild forecast tomorrow but soon getting colder all week so the heating back on.

Do the kids get any education? Snow is grey and slushy unless it is hard pressed.

I heard the UK would get quite a lot of the white stuff. I also hate it when it turns to sludge and becomes gray,
