That phrase "Be bygone be bygones" was meant only to put behind unpleasant happenings in days gone by
The now generation however has totally misunderstoode this phrase and have chosen to even to forget the happy days that they spent with their seniors.
I am experiencing it I have spent my precious time in helping quite a lot of them but for example when there was an opportunity for some of my extended family to have a one on one interaction they preferred to come in a herd and spend time with me.
It hurts.

This seems to be the trend these days not just with me.

Sometimes , people are not comfortable approaching senior people or people they never talked to . So they prefer some crowd or people to meet people. Perhaps , we would need to break ice and talk to them individually while they are in group . Show interest to them and well they could recriprocate. I am sure you would have done all. But the thing is not all think in same way and they have their own ways of life. Whats important is you did what best you could do and that will be something you could be content with. Not all outcomes can be favourable and what we desire. So , look into the next bright page or chapter in your life. Take care!

Let bygones be bygones is how I have heard it. It’s nice to hear forgiving and put things in the past.
I would be so honored to be able to spend one on one time with you or even in a group. I never drop in and unless someone actually invites me like says why don’t you come see my new house this week or lets plan to very together next week then I don’t. I’m too timid and worry if I bring up visiting with someone they will only do it out of obligation and I also worry I won’t have anything to say when I get there being so shy.

Looking around I now see it is a global trend to only meet for parties and then forget about them.

But what's wrong with them coming in a herd?

No quality time! One to one interaction strengthens the bond!
