Well, they are all closed still

I think I read that all the state highways in Kansas are closed. I don't know for sure, and I am not going to drive out and check. Just going to stay at home. Personally, I would like tomorrow off as well, just because it is so cold. There is a pot of chili cooking in my crockpot. We have warm clothes and blankets. Not too much to complain about around here.

We had a lot of wind all night long. The roads are not the best. On I-70 yesterday, there was a 40 car/truck pileup, semis are flipped or jacknifed, etc. We do not plan on going anywhere today, either. I always worry about school bus accidents. We have our share of them around here, it seems they have trouble finding drivers and the ones they do find don't seem to know how to drive or are not properly trained. A lot of parents just take their children if they possibly can, to avoid the bus. Not a good situation. Glad that you are safe, warm, and have some good chili cooking!

I imagine schools will be closed tomorrow too. Fingers crossed! I think I won't even get dressed today. I am enjoying hibernating in my jammies.

I made a crockpot full of infamous potato soup yesterday, so I’m good to go for five days. (Just need to make the broccoli and rice to add to it.) I will need to leave the house by Friday, because that’s when my appointment is. I hope they cancel things as well. There are counties in Kentucky that cancel school for three snowflakes. It might sound funny to us “big city folks,” but most of Kentucky is RURAL, and that means narrow, winding roads that frequently go way up or down a hill. Not safe for school buses.

Sounds like a warm and cuddly time. It is chilly and grey here. But not cold and not raining.

Wow all the highways in the entire state that is wild. I sure hope the storm stops and everything gets cleaned up soon. Scary when roads are shut down if emergencies arise. I think I am going to make some apple crisp for my son.

You folks are going to have a high pollution rate in your house with all that chili and no where to go for fresh air.

We are having chili tomorrow. I asked hubby to make a big batch so it will last at least 2 days.
