Final days before

Like it or lump it, the alternative is gruesome. This week's days are the final ones before I turn older. Don't think I'm griping. My Dad only made it to 67. And his final years were pretty miserable, thanks to ye old nicotine.
This morning I medicated and fed the cats per usual, had a slurp of sparkling water and apple juice and off I went to the pool. About 40 minutes of moving my buns. Move it or lose it. Wow did I find that out when I went to physical therapy.
Tomorrow friend and I are going out for lunch and snooping in a couple of thrift stores. Today I am doing the usual stuff, staring at floors that need cleaning and counters that need stuff removed and tidied.

My stepson has been using nicotine packs he puts in his mouth. I hate it waste of money and will just kill him in the end when he winds up with cancer.
Glad you got some time in the pool.
I love thrift stores I have some new ones on my list to check out soon. When we are all healthy again anyway.

@sallypup oh gosh well thankfully he was smart enough to quit when he got those! I hope it’s just a stage my stepson is going through. He went through 12 weeks at boot camp then went right back to it. Pointless since that should have showed him he didn’t need it.

I mostly stare, then when I get around to it I feel really proud of myself. Pool sounds like a good place to move it. In our neck of the woods no one is moving. Too much ice covered by snow.

@sallypup If something isn't critical it probably isn't going to get done around here. Well, I do try to keep the dishes done, since I have a DW, not really a big problem.

@snowy22315 I am the odd ball when it comes to dishwashers. I use the dishwasher for a bowl cupboard and wash dishes by hand.

The idea of being in a pool just makes me shiver all over! Even a heated one...it's just too cold for me. I will have to stick to my very warm, even hot, shower. Feels so good!
It sounds like a fun day tomorrow. It's too bad the cats can't be trained to clean house...wouldn't that be cool?

@MarieCoyle I exercise in the heated kiddo pool. I think its heated to 90 degrees so its comfy.

I clean when I get bored... I have a dishwasher but stopped using it years ago. It only takes a few minutes a day to wash the dishes and I think they look cleaner than the dishwasher got them.

@sallypup I'm glad you aren't stuck with ice and snow we got here this weekend.
When I get upset or something bothers me, I get lost in a book. Sometimes a new-to-me book but usually, an old friend that I've read many times before.

Thrift stores used to be my favorite places to shop, You know it's funny I don't think of getting older anymore, I think of getting better at all I do and the Lord will take care of the rest,
