Here it is bad enough with no central heating and only one room with a space heater and I hope the cold goes away soon,

Oh dear the snow in Alabama..does it snow usually in the winter there?
It's snowing here now and bone chilling cold.

We had freezing rain, sleet and then snow in Missouri. Before the storm, people were racing around buying the stores clean. Now, on Monday, after the storm has passed, very few people are getting out. The roads are slick and nobody wants to drive anywhere. (Our high in my part of Missouri was 16F today and the low was 11F last night. It's too cold and windy to want to go outside!)
I hope you don't get as much snow as predicted and it doesn't get too cold. Stay warm and safe.

Did you get any snow? We haven't so far, thank the good Lord, but might get something tomorrow.

Our last bad storm was 3 years ago, and many people were in a bad way including myself. I also needed some meds and the pharmacy was closed! I vowed not to have a repeat of that, and am better prepared now. I went out a couple of times for supplies though

Snow to me is a bad four letter word. I do not like snow at all.

Areas much further south of where I live are getting much more intense winter storms than we are currently.
We are in a cold snap, but it is January and we expect that.
We have a US news channel on and the weatherman reported that in Churchill, Canada it is -59, and I laughed and looked at my husband and asked him would that be in C as we measure temperatures or in Fahrenheit?
Either way it is darned cold and I am glad that I do not live up there.

It's a big deal when there's s**w and ice in the south. They are not prepared for it. Stay safe and warm and have a good day.

It is 33 and feels colder here in the Panhandle of FL. Hope we don't get snow. People here can't hardly drive on Dry Roads.
