I just learned this Bruce Cockburn song!

For obvious reasons, this song has been playing in my head a lot recently. I have sung along with it for decades, but have never thought about learning the guitar parts until this morning I watched an instructional video and realized that many of the chords are simply what my Guitar Center friends and I call "power chords." They are not that hard to play. You just have to know where to "put them." I won't bother you with musical details. It may "rock out" a bit much for some MyLotters, but I hope you are open to listening to it. Many MyLotters have probably only heard Cockburn's "Wondering Where the Lions Are," which was a radio hit back in the day. Sigh. Why are so many of the best American musicians Canadian? Cockburn is my favorite "Christian musician." One of the songs of his that I already play is "All the Diamonds in this World." Here's a link to "Lovers in a Dangerous Time," the song I'm posting about.

Dang. I have been teaching this one to all of my colleagues. I wonder if we'll have a "hit" with it.

I really like the instruments that they use. The music is very 80s too. Have a great day.

I shared it with another colleague today. I wonder if it will be a song we all "cover" together.

I got to meet him in 1980. He was opening for Warren Zevon. How’s THAT for a one-two punch!?

I never met Warren Zevon. As you know, I got to chat with Bruce Cockburn in the late '80s in Santa Barbara.
