Coughing a lot when it's cold. / myLot

I've been coughing a lot this time of year because the weather has turned cold. It's annoying because it happens every year. I cough a lot, especially at night, even though I try to keep warm. Unfortunately, my children have the same problem :( Do you have any advice for my situation? Thanks.

Thanks for your advice. I usually drink warm water and take herbal cough medicine. But the condition only improves a little.

@rakski I will go to the doctor when the condition gets worse like fever or excessive coughing. The problem is that this condition repeats itself over the years. Whenever it is cold, I immediately get a cough and a runny nose. Probably a weather illness!

I will try. Thank you so much. I tried honey and garlic. It worked well but didn't cure the disease completely.

Take cold medicine before bed. Preferable one that encourages sleep to help break up the mucus and congestin that forms. My husband has what's known as Algery Asthma, and while he takes meds for it, certin times of year it flares up on us.
