7 January - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good evening from cold Green Bay, Wisconsin. The current temperature is 16 F and feels like 11 F. I'll be glad to see it warm up enough to snow. I'm ready for this cold snap to break into warmer temps. Give me 20-32. Just enough for it to snow and make me happy. This is not a rant. This is a thankful post. I have much to be thankful for today. I'm thankful for the work I got done this morning before I left. I got notifications done and started work on Faith to Believe. I'm thankful for the Bible study this morning. We started a new book this morning - The Awe of God by John Bevere. We didn't get past the first two pages. It was good. I'm thankful I went shopping after Bible study. I was hoping I could. My fridge and freezer are full. The only thing I'll need for the rest of the month are bananas and fruit. I wasn't happy that there is another bird flu and eggs were more than I wanted to pay and they didn't have any free range. So, it looks like I'll be eating oatmeal for a long time to come. I still have eggs, but less than three dozen. I like to have six dozen in the fridge. I'm thankful I talked with my friend who lives in the apartments I wanted to move to. I'll be passing on moving there. She told me about the management and the people. So, I won't be moving. I'm staying right here. This place might not be ideal, but that place is less so. I only need to let my son know. I'm thankful for Writer's Guild tonight. We had a new person, which always makes it fun. It also makes me wonder how soon we'll outgrow the back room of the restaurant and need to find a new place. I also read tonight and got good feedback on Faith to Believe. I always appreciate the feedback. It makes me a better author. I'm thankful I got home before my Fitbit lost it's charge. I was down to 9%. It's fully charged now, so I didn't lose any of the stats for today. I have all my steps for the Fitbit and my pedometer app and Google Fit. The Fitbit shows over 11K steps. Google Fit and the pedometer app show almost 8K. I didn't have time for the foot cycle tonight. I'm thankful I kept my food consumption today to a minimum. No excess calories or sugar. I should start seeing the scale come down again and get rid of all the water weight of the last week. Okay, that's my day. What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me. Book setup at the Winter Market.

That's a lot to be thankful for. I'm thankful I got George up a few times today. Now if I can get him to go to bed, that'll be something else entirely. Fingers crossed I do. Sorry the apartment didn't work out, but if you're on a long wait list like that, perhaps it's not meant to be. I think you're meant to stay where you are. If it was a sure thing, you wouldn't be waiting and waiting.

I am thankful for getting paid for my work at surveys and the chance to get medical insurance from my local bank thanks to an offer in the mail that came in today.

I am sorry that the apartment won't work out. Hopefully if you still want to leave, you can find one that works for you. With times as hard as they are for so many people, I, too am thankful for having food to reach for to cook. I know there are many who struggle.

I’m really glad you found out about that apartment complex before you moved there. I hope your son isn’t too disappointed, but you need a place where you don’t have to worry about the things your friend mentioned. Today I’d say I’m thankful for the Mylotters who checked on me when I hadn’t been here for several days. I’m thankful I got a doctor appointment next month moved to tomorrow, and I’m thankful my dad had a safe trip to Tulsa and back this afternoon.

Thank you. He'll understand. That's the main thing. I'm glad people here checked up on you. I'm sorry, I'm not here as much yet, though I make it every day now, so I wasn't aware. I'm glad you're okay. I'm glad you could get your doctor's appointment moved to today. I'm glad your father had a safe trip to Tulsa and back.

Wow it's great that you found out about those apartments before you moved there. Certainly proof that God was watching over you and the way it all worked out. I love your thankful posts. They remind me to be grateful for all the things we take for granted.

Thank you. I'm glad I found out too. I know my son will be disappointed, but he said at the beginning that if I don't move, it's okay.

It is 37 tonight. Wasn't real cold this afternoon, but the wind made it cooler than the temp of 50. I am thankful that we will be moving into our new abode by the end of the month. We will go take measurements tomorrow, and while I go for my annual check up at my GP doctor, Tom and his friend will be moving the lawn equipment over to the new house. We checked on the moving company today, and won't cost as much as we originally thought it would. So much to do. But when it is done we will have a new place and start a new adventure.

I am grateful for a lot of things today. I was half prepared for a meeting and I feared a backlash. Luckily there were other topics to discuss in the meeting and I was able to escape unharmed and unquestioned. I would make sure that would not happen again and complete the pending tasks by end of tomorrow. So , I did get a big breather for next 1 day. I was happy to finish few tasks today which I need to complete by friday. I am also grateful I was able to get some relaxation unlike what I thought for the day. The weather is getting warmer. Great to read about your day. Little shocked to know you would be moving o new apartment after all these preparation. But then it is for good. I also need to work on my health. Take care!

I'm glad there wasn't a backlash in the meeting, and you will get your work done on time. I'm not moving. I'm glad I'm not. I like it here.
