Compare.

Do you compare one friend to another? You should never compare one person to another or even one child to another. Remember everyone is different and that is a good thing.
It is ok to compare one brand of a product to another. Or one brand of food to another. You should buy the brand that you like the best.
Or even one brand of fast food to another one. Than go with the one place that you like the best.
So go ahead and compare anything that you want as long as it is not a child or an adult.
The picture is mine taken by me. I love going to Coos Bay.

Personalities are different, I've learned to accept people as they are.

Thanks for the pic you have shared here.
I know some fathers who compare their sons who are weak at studies with boys who have been toppers. Their own sons get depressed and begin hating themselves. They develop an inferiority complex which has a adverse effect on their whole life.
My parents never compared my performance at studies with others. I have been fortunate in this regard.

@jstory07 Of course. I have seen how desastrous it is to compare one child with the other. I'll never do it.

You're right. We should rejoice in the differences that make our friends special. Have a great day.

I One Hundred Percent Agree.
It is really not a good one to compare a person to another, specially when you are comparing them face to face and with lots of people listening, it feels like very humiliating, and degrading to a child moral that affects their views and self esteem as they grow up. Same with an adult. Thank you for this post, I hope this will be a reminder for everyone even if they are joking around it really hits different to the people they are comparing with.

I try not to compare people. It’s inevitable that we compare things, though…”this album isn’t as good as their last album;” “I like this movie better than the last one she was in;” “that doctor isn’t as nice as my other one,” etc.

I do agree we should not compare with others. Sometimes , things may look smiling and great whereas it could be tough with their lives. Although I do not compare my lives with my known people and friends , at times my brain does compare my life with them especially during tough times. I do not envy them at all but I pity my personal and professional life at times. There are times, I felt like hiding my face from others but now I am like fine this is what I am and I need to live with that. I had my share of traumas in life and post same , largely kept things to myself. And i do agree with you-the only things we should compare are the quality and prices of products in the market. Take care!
