Mid week blabbering...

Good afternoon from this side of the planet. It's 12:30 PM and I am here at the eye hospital for my elder daughter's eye check up. Came back from work at 12 and then we came here. I couldn't finish making lunch in the morning. I could only do the preparation and go to work. It took a little longer today at Yoga class in the morning and everything got delayed. I could just make breakfast and do some preparation for the lunch.
The doctor saw her, it was not a long wait thankfully. Now they have put the drops for pupil dilation and we have to wait for an hour before the doctor sees her again. Now she is resting with eyes closed and listening to some music on her headphone. I plan to use this waiting time for some online hustles. My elder daughter is here for one more week and I want to finish few of her regular checkup before she leaves. So, we have a couple of more doctor's visits in the coming days.
I am also due for my full body checkup and diabetic check ups. I plan to go for it after she leaves.
Younger one has gone to write her first semester exams at her college. She should be back home anytime. I have messaged her .If she feels hungry, she can have some leftovers from dinner last night. My husband is also working from home today. The leftovers are just enough to keep her full for a while..
I will order something today for lunch as I will be late to cook. The preparations can come handy for dinner.
All is going okay. It's the time of season when one falls sick with cold, cough and flu like symptoms. School has sent a mail to parents and staffs to not come to school with any symptoms. There are cases reported of HMPV virus and precautions are being taken. Seven cases are reported in India so far. That's the official record, there might be more. Two of these cases are infants who don't have a travel history and that might be alarming. I see few people and children in my school using mask. That scares me and reminds me of Covid times.
That's all for the blabbering for now. Moving to read your discussions. Catch you later.
Stay happy and healthy.

You and your family should consider wearing masks to help keep you from catching anything. I'd rather not hear about any of you getting sick, if you don't mind.
I hope your elder daughter has a good checkup with the eye doctor.
Pretty and I are "enjoying" the ice, snow and below freezing temperatures. You and your family could come visit us and enjoy the cold weather, too. (It's 14F/-10C here now.)
It is supposed to be 40F/4C Wednesday afternoon so we'll go buy groceries and pick up meds from the pharmacy then. It will still be a cold drive. (I wish we had a little freezing emoji on myLot. )
I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

@arunima25 You're very welcome.
I'm in bed now and just finished eating supper. I'll take a nap in the near future and then wake up and play on some sites online.
LASIC is supposed to be good. I have a lot of friends who've had it successfully. I'm glad her checkup went well.
I'm allergic to dust, pollen of all kinds and smoke. We didn't wear masks before Covid because people wouldn't have understood here. We are continuing to wear the masks if we leave out house. Some places here don't allow masks to be worn on their premises. That's ignorant, in my opinion. Covid is still with us as well as flu and other respiratory illnesses. We've never had Covid but I did catch the flu a few months ago even wearing the mask.

@DaddyEvil Here, many people wear mask due to dust and pollution. But not many, so it is not so common. I exercise in my apartment premise and that's full of fresh air and green landscape. Glad about that, I can not wear mask and exercise.
That's really ignorant if they don't allow masks. Some people are prone to infections and have compromised immunity. One has to take all precautions. With new sickness on rise every time, one has to do all possible things to be safe
Take care

Thank you so much for your concern and that warm invitation. I have travelled most parts of your country and so it's not my list in near future to travel. But hopefully we might get some chance in future. Stay warm and take care of yourself.
All went well with her eye check up. The power has got seized in the last two years, we will wait for her college to get over. Hopefully it will not increase and we can think of LASIK surgery .
We are allergic to dust. So, we always wear mask when going out as all the construction work and pollution is inevitable. We had masks before Covid too, but still we got Covid

We all are allergic to dust and dust is everywhere jn the city with all ongoing road and metro construction going on. So, we always wear mask when going out. We did so even before Covid. But still we got Covid as a family. I don't go to public places much. Except for work, I don't step out much other than my exercise as cycling, jogging and walking. I can't wear mask during exercise.
All was okay with her eye check up. Glad that the power has not increased in the last two years. Hope that it stays same way and we can go for LASIK surgery once her college is over.

Thank you so much. I believe that all moms are like that, except few isolated cases. Motherhood comes with an immense strength and a very kind heart.

Thank you Rebecca. We take all possible precautions to stay away from sickness.
It was a regular routine eye check up. All went smooth and quick. Being a weekday, it was not much rush. Her power is same in the last two years and that's a positive sign. We hope that it stays same. We have plans to go for LASIK after she graduates from her college.

Here too, very few people wear mask. There is an advisory being circulated on WhatsApp groups about wearing masks in public places. Not sure about the authenticity of the source. But cases are on rise and we might see more and more people wearing masks in coming days.
